back on track

well this is my first post after around 6months hiatus, and realized how much i miss blogwalking and blogging myself :)

I've been just doing uni stuffs, which is architectural and totally unfashionblogworthy to talk about, and nothing majorly changed from me since I was away (boring huh?), actually i was just bored from mentioning what am i wearing all the time if it is not that much worth and got too comfy from not blogging

anyway since now im here i will just post some pics to catch up a little :)

I'm still sticking with my girls, and these are us at the facehunter party last months, credits to the supertalented Yvan Rodic the Facehunter

I'm still in love with my man, and these are some of us after one and a half year together, nothing changed except more love :)

Among them there is one ring which is sent by lovely Sarah from LuShae Jewelry who kindly let me pick one item from her gorgeous collections. It took me almost one hour to decide which to pick according to their beautiful, classy collections of promise ring, ring, pendants, and earring. my birthday bash

Last 12th April 2009 was my 19th Birthday!!

to celebrate the fun of my last year being a teenager, I booked a table at Barcode, kemang on Saturday night, 11th April, and invited some close friends of mine.

Well me n my boyfriend (Bora is here in jakarta!) planned ourself to be there latest by 11pm but unfortunately, we were stuck in traffic after church (yes, it was easter night, Happy Easter!), and arrived there only couple minutes before midnight. For the record, I did NOT try to make an entrance, it was really traffic.

a day before my birthday, Bora pushed me to pick a present because he was afraid that he'll choose things that I dont like.

And after hours of walking and 'fighting' over shopping stuff (which I tried to convince him not t buy me any present but he kept pushing me), I picked this supercute pair of melissa plastic dream. He knew that I've been wanting this shoes for almost one year but couldn't find it in Thailand. Thanks baby!

Right at midnight, my friends surprised me with a super delicious chocolate birthday cake! and (my full of surprises boyf) Bora gave me a bouquet of 101 red roses, seriously it was so heavy yet very pretty. I'm speechless. You are the best present in my life!!

When I got home, I found myself opening a present from my mom and dad. It's a guess watch which I've been dying for! And I got a pair of cute sandals from my beloved sister!

Such a blessing day I had, thanks everyone!! :)

a blast from Bali

I went to Bali last weekend for my bf's birthday!

It was suuuuperfun! I stayed at Serkan's (Bora's friend) house. He was so generous to let me stay, thanks :)

These are the glimpse of the great 3 days n 2 nights of us :)

Day 1

We had some drink and went to Samaya Beach for the perfect view of sunset, and continued with BBQ dinner and a superlong night out.

I got home exhaustedly at almost 6am in the morning, wow!

we went to sky garden and continued to mbargo. We ended the night by having supper at chat cafe :)

Day 2

Bora drove hours to find a place called Karma di Mare. It was out of nowhere, with the extremely harsh road along the way, but all the efforts was paid when we found the place.

Now I can imagine how heaven looks.

We had dinner at Ultimo (It was soooo great! I'm dying for more cheese penne!) and went out again. This time it was hu'u bar and Bacio. I was either so tired because of the beach or too full because of ultimo that i felt so sleepy. So we went back early. I mean earlier, it was 4am :p

with Buddy, Serkan's Labrador. We gave him a 4am walk :)

Day 3

Shopping Day!!

I went to Kuta Square to buy things that my sister wanted and ended up buying a pair of gladiator and massive wedges for myself, dammit! I want to control this, seriously. But Bora kept saying: "you have to buy that wedges, they look so nice, beautiful,etc". Hey boyfriend, you should've helped me to stop! hahahaha. (I will picture the shoes later)

Before airport, we stopped by at a mall to play at Amazon. I guess we were the only grownups without children in there, we caught some weird stares but we dont care :p

we won hundreds of ticket but couldnt decide what to exchange them for, such a waste :p

And before I knew it, 3 days passed already.

I got back to Jakarta to face my midtest week.

Wow, really such a wrong timing to have a vacation, but well, it's bali anyway, it is never wrong to go there, my dream island :)

the end of my redhead agenda (and other stuff)

woww,it's been a while since my last post, I was so crazy about schoolwork, no need to be explained about, and nothing interesting and blog-worthy at all :)

Ayy look at how red my hair is! I'm so bored with my no style redhead so this saturday I gave it another style..

I dyed it back to black and decided to have some bangs! Well i hope this'll make me look much more like my age :p

Later that day I watched Marley and Me at Plaza Senayan,it was sooo nice,but sad! I cried a lot (though I'm embarrassed to admit it :p). And by the way, this is the premiere of my gold legging to hit the road, well I caught some people stared at it weirdly, dont care! haha

aaaand, last but not least I want to introduce my new baby!! I bought a pair of all white nike air yesterday. I wasn't a fan of sport shoes until I met them. The design is sooo pretty and I'd love to wear them with minidress. Well I actually did already but I forgot to take pics :p

bleeding love

I always love the style of Rumi from Fashion Toast.
And inspired by one pair of her Chloe shoes, two weeks ago I went to a shoemaker (located at Perbanas, setiabudi) to make an almost similar pair of hers.

And today I picked them up!! I was so nervous about how it will look. Well ofcourse I don't expect too much since it costs only IDR 175.000 which is about US$15. But I'm happy enough for the result!
FYI, I wasn't intended to create a fake Chloe, I just looove the design and red has always been my colour (besides, I don't think I can afford the real Chloe at the moment, would be such a burden to my dad's bill, and I wouldn't walk out much with those skyscraper heels in my city,haha). So I ordered one with more shiny red, small lace, and not too high rubber heels (approximately 8.5 cm) to make it lighter and more wearable.

I recently discovered this cute shop not too far from my house, the name is Her Room.
I didn't expect much when I entered this small sized shop. I went to that neighborhood only too eat the well-known delicious cheap Burger-Blenger.
I got in to this shop only because I was attracted by a lace stocking the mannequin was wearing.
And guess what? I walked out with four new fashion items to fill my overloaded closet.
Here is what I bought:

gold at heart

My ebay gold legging finally came!! Well it actually came few days ago but since I was at my rented room near my uni, I wasn't be able to catch it at the arrival.
But hey I'm home now! I'm home for my golden legging! haha
actually this is my first purchase from ebay, and since i love it so much I guess my online shopping will continue (such a threat to my dad since I'm using his credit card, i love you daddy!)

well these are just pics of some random items that I wore this week, I havent got so much time to post about anything since my uni works are extremely took my time, if I have some spare time I'd be happy to sleep instead of blogging,haha.

Anyway these are my this and that outfits during my busiest days:a vintage sequin barong t-shirt from bali. I bought it last summer in bali and it is really nice with the sequin beads, unlike the other usual barong t-shirt

phone wired-like swatch watch. The strap is adjustable with 2 other colour, pink and blue. I bought it almost 4 years ago at Amsterdam International airport, duty free, yay!!

jazzy lazy night

I went to a jazznite presented by Canisius College High School last Saturday. It was great fun!

They invited some famous Indonesian jazz-ers which succeed to amused us all. Well sorry to say there's a singer (if I can say it that way) that ruined the most-waited performance, so sorry to say!

Anyway, I got in with Laras without any ticket and trough the performers' door, woops. I hope no one expected us to go on stage :p

well I have loads of things in mind but since I have to pick the top six, here's the list by random order :)

1. My beloved family and friends. No need to explain it I guess, absolutely clear that they're the ones that always surround me and make my days :)
2. My boyfriend, Bora. I'm a queen to his eyes and he never ever makes me sad. And the fact that he's moving to Indonesia next month really enhance my days
3. Travelling. I love visiting new places and get to see something different from each place
4. Beach. I love the breeze and the feel of the sun in my skin.
5. Weekends in the middle of my busy days. I'm majoring architecture (I just started it, freshman year), and with this much task I have I really adore task-free weekends! I know it will get worse the next upcoming years, I hope I'll be able to manage myself.
   
6. Last but not least, shopping will be the thing that makes me happy!! It's just perfect knowing that you own something you really wanted :)

rare pieces hunting

wow it's been a little while since my last post, I've been soooo crazy over my school project, dammit.

Well this post is actually about things i bought last week, I went to one mall which I won't reveal the name. Why? because I never really like the place and I came there only to check 

out zara (regularly,like once in 6months). I always find treasure hunts in that mall's zara which I couldnt find in other malls, like nice one which already in big sale or everything in my size. So I assume that people who shopped in that zara have a totally different style with those who shopped at malls I usually went. Indonesian, I know you know which mall I'm talking bout,haha no offense dear.

Sooo, I've been longing for this purple so-like cardigan, but I've only seen the L size everywhere. Fortunately, I found the XS here :)

the fabric is so thin yet warm, really suit the weather in here, and the color is perfect!

the next one is a so-like harem pants, the color is jeans like but the material is thin and not elastic at all. I found it in the 'last piece' section, looove it!

your own personal bracelet

okay this is my DIY project zillion months ago, but I was thinking it will be nice to post it just now :)
I was having problem with the fact dat I couldnt decide which accessories to wear, which to keep, and which to throw away, and mostly I dont want to throw away anything I own. So I kept everything in my safety accessories box until they got dusty (no,I'm exaggerating).
Then I felt that its time to let all of them go out, let me wear most of them (the nice ones) altogether. And I decided to put them al in one bracelet.



Here is how I did it.

Things you should have:
1. Unused chain necklace or bracelet, in my case I use necklace
2. Anything hard to open the chain, probably scissor (I used cuticle remover,so not nice,haha)
3. Elastic band
4. Loads of stuffs you want to hang on your bracelet

How to do it?
1. Put the elastic band through every chain and tie it according to your hand size. We want the bracelet to be elastic.
2. Choose which pendant you want to hang and how you want to arrange it to make it nice
3. Open each chain with the scissor (or cuticle remover, anything), and hang the pendant, do it to each chain that you want
4. That's it.
5. So easy.

Which pendant to hang? Can be anything. From pieces of garbage til white gold, from unwanted gift to special things from lovers. I will list what I have on mine:
1. Plastic heart from an unused keychain
2. Shoe shaped white gold pendant
3. Vintage stone earring
4. Star shaped pendant
5. Teddy Bear earring
6. Vintage cross
7. Round white gold pendant
8. Flower shaped hair pin
9. Blue eyes pendant from Turkey (from Bora)
10. Rockstar plug earring
11. Feather earring
12. Unused button
13. "C" white gold pendant
14. Dolphin silver pendant
15. Unused whatever, i dont even know where did this round shaped black things come from
16. "N" shaped pendant
17. Doraemon shaped Chinese green stone
18. Flower pendant

I used to have some more things in there, but I lost some and took off some, so now only those 18 left :)

I'm longing for the real weekends

I went to a shoemaker last wednesday! I'm so excited on how it will look like when it's done, I will post the result :)

Anyway I created a drawing for my task for 10 hours!! I started it on Wednesday night, 10pm until 2am then continue on the next day, 4pm until 10pm, i feel dizzy afterthat (for sure).

And all I need now is looooong weekend!! The real one without any tasks.

And this is the drawing that took hours to be done, I still think it's not nice though, please excuse the bad unstraight lines, we were told to use chinese ink for the outline, applied with small tree branch, I hold my breath each time I applied it, haha

Anyway, about the object, we had to draw anything inspired by a tunnel, so here we go, tunnel in my mind is a walk-in closet :)

Now I understand why I'll have 3 months summer vacation

These 2 days I've been crazily busy with my campus stuff, we have this studio class 3 times a week,each time is 7hours except on friday it's 9hours.
In this class we do not only learn to draw but also to communicate through the picture,so we have to be able to give arguments on whatever we draw.
This class is driving me crazy,we had 4 tasks along with the essay concept in only 2days..

If this hecticness will continue until the semester end, I'm sure 3 months holiday is totally worth it!!

Well, I have mentioned my boyfriend in my earlier posts but his face havent got a chance to show up in here, so let me have one post especially for him :)

I met Bora last summer in Bali, it was 19th of July 2008, the last night of my summer vacation with my girlfriends.
Actually he said he saw me the day before when I was eating with my girlfriends at his friend's restaurant, but I didnt notice him, he didnt came to talk to me either, possibly he was paralyzed because i was (trying to) bellydanced with the bellydancer, haha.
The next day, by chance (or destiny) we met again at the Ocean Beach Club, he talked to me and he ended up driving for almost 5 hours to get to Sanur Beach where I wanna see the sunrise, by then I knew this man is special.
I went back to Jakarta, he kept calling me and by another chance, 2 weeks later Im back to Bali with my cousins, that trip made us even closer, and also he came to visit me in Jakarta later.
After that he moved back to Bangkok (where he was working for 3.5 years). We didnt meet for about 4months until I spend my year end vacation to visit him there, we had a blasting 2weeks together, along with his lovely mother, Nedret :)
And now, Im expecting him to move back to Bali after he's done with his work in Bangkok :)
He's everything that I wished for, even more.

Anyway I quoted some dialogues we had when I'm in Bangkok with him:
Me: (looking at his fridge on his apartment) Wow you have my picture on your fridge!
Bora: Yes, along with all the magnets I got from every cities and countries I have visited.
Me: And why I'm there with the magnets?? Am I a souvenir from a country or what? From which country did you get this?
(I was expecting he would say Indonesia of course)
Bora: It's a souvenir from heaven :)

I hereby present the Zara top that broke my shop-fasting promise yesterday, I hope you agree that it's worth to spend about US$10 for this. I did right huh? Yes I am.
I had a haircut also yesterday, probably it's not noticeable since I only had some trimming to get rid of those layers and split ends on my hair, Im thinking to dyed my hair back to black also, already bored with this color :p
Anyway, I went to Plaza Indonesia with my family today, just to eat and walk around, and I bought this snake skinned black legging at Zara, super nice! I love it, thanks daddy :)

Ps. my boyfriend just quit his job in Thailand, he will move to Bali soon and Im so happy about it!! :)

i broke my shop-fasting promise, finally

On some earlier post I said that Im doing fasting for shopping after everything I shopped in Bangkok almost a month ago, and today at Senayan City, I broke it.
I can't help when I saw a long sleeve purple turtleneck shirt at Zara, the fabric is so nice,yet somehow so affordable (from the discount I guess).
So I bought it, along with a brown simple tube top to replace the one that I was wearing inside my shirt at that moment, because mine was so uncomfortable.
Oh, and in front of the entrance to the cinema, there's a big trailer of Confession of a Shopaholic the movie, so I guess it would be nice to take some pics,haha

Later that day I went to my friend, Roland's house, already 40 days passed after his grandpa died, so theyre having some private mass, Im so sorry for the loss, may his soul rests in peace. Let's be thankful to be alive everyone :)

It was Saturday night, I was with my mom and we were thinking that it is too early to go home by 10pm, so we decided to catch the midnight show of Valkyrie back at Senayan City.
The movie is based on a true story in Germany during Hitler's era. It was nice and worth to watch :)
Anyway I spotted a very cute child waiting for midnight show! Isn't it too late for you stay up? haha look at her hair do? will it become the trend on 2010?

where's the studio sweety?

don't throw away your ugly dress!

I have no idea why I bought this mini dress. Maybe it doesn't look that much bad on the picture because the camera is still and the light is low. Well, let me just explain the dress, first, its material is so soft and elastic that if a kid on the road pull it down when you're wearing it, people will be able to see whatever is underneath,you name it. Second, it is too short to be called a dress yet too long for a top. Third, the colour of this semi-dress is a combination of black on the top and whatever on the lower part (I dont even know what colour this is, if someone know please tell me). Fourth, the ONLY one thing cute from this piece of fabrication is the pattern of people on the lower side (on the whatever colour side) which probably attract me to bought it on the first place. Fifth, even my mom hates this dress.
but no worries,I did some magic on it.. It works on any minidress you hate!

First, turn it upside down, wear it like you're wearing a pants, put you legs on the arm holes. It will look like a swimsuit for a while,until you know that it's really useful when you wear the pants/shorts on it, it will stay on it's place, no need to pull it in everytime.


Second, there're some choices for the top, pull all of them to one side and pin it above the shoulder, you will have an asimetrical top

or you can pull it to the front and tie it as a knot. You will get a tube top.
there are some more choice though, but it needs sewing kit. make it a halter top or even a turtle neck, you know how to do it. It will look brand new! (only for an elastic fabric)

The second picture is my drawing from today's class, if it is not clear (and I believe so), on the right side I drew some particular leaves i found near my studio and the other half there are stones which also lies beside the leaves on that real place. For your information, today we observed nature around the faculty and I guess it will still continue til next week. Feels like I'm majoring fine art so far,haha.
